Hey mummy, I know you’ll never read this blog because I will never give you the url, the contents of this post however are more or less the same as the sms I gave you.
Thank you mum, for conceiving me, and giving birth to me despite the high improbability of my existence due to you being pregnant with another child before I was born, its sad that I exist because of a lost of life, but I cherish it non the less and am grateful that I have indeed come into existence.
Thank you mum, for nurturing me when I was a skinny ass brat that always vomited to the point that you asked a doctor why I was so skinny. After you stopped being around as much though and thanks to Mak Oyah I am know overweight. Hahaha serves you woman.
Thank you mum, for teaching me so many things in life. For teaching me what kindness is. How to be selfless. What sacrifice is even if it meant that I was one of the things you had to sacrifice to reach your dreams. Thank you for teaching me what values are, and how they are more important than rituals, how it is better to be close to God through values and ethics and how you act with people than rituals. I might not agree with you completely on which is more important, or on many things concerning life, but you are the driving force in my beliefs, and in my philosophies of life.
Thank you mum, for everything. Love you
p.s - IOU many hugs.
UOME facial hair genetics. Come on woman, what part of the hairy deal did you not give me? What’s the point of having ancestors from the Middle East and South Asia if I cant grow a bloody proper beard at the age of 19 but am hairy everywhere else?
p.s.s - (my mum’s response to the UOME - “Ha ha. Blame that on your Dad” grr.. stupid biodiversity…)
