As of today, it is the 4th week since my first automobile accident. So I’m going to tell the full story now, sort of hahaha. Click the spoiler for the full post. Be warned, some pictures are potentially gross. I am not responsible for any fainting or puking or gagging the photos might cause.

Now, the accident occurred sometime around almost 10am somewhere in Keramat while I was on the way to college. I was riding pillion with my coursemate A. Now, I didn’t know it at first because the ride from Cheras to Keramat was pretty smooth, but A had told me as we were going into Keramat his bike actually had wobbly tires (tayar gelong). Anyway, after making a stop at a grocery store to buy some candy and refreshments, we were on our way to college. Me in my total awesomeness, decided to take off my helmet as I wanted my hair to dry, and also because it was a slow ride and we werent riding around busy streets. Alas, not long after, we went on a bump, and somehow the footrest bent or something and my right foot slipped and I fell face first into the asphalt/tar (what the hell do we use to make roads here?). I knew I had probably lost a tooth or two, but i didnt know the extent of the damage. We went to a clinic nearby our college and I got cleaned up and patched up and was told I needed to go to a hospital to get my wounds stitched. It was, pretty bad. So my friends brought me by car to Ampang Putri where I was warded sometime round 11am-12pm ish

Now, knowing that my parents would freak out like crazy monkeys, I decided not to call them first. First person I called was in fact Siddiq, with whom the I joked about the incident since I have almost had several potentially catastrophic accidents while riding with him, yet have never fallen off the damn bike. I also told my brother whom I told to keep it down and not tell my parents lol.

Anyway I was eventually moved from the emergency ward (where I just waited) to a double room. There I waited and waited for the time to come for my surgery, which was around.. I dunno, 5-6pm?

Anyway long story, short, went to surgery, got anaesthetics, got knocked out cold, woke up with all the doctors gone, and got sent back to my room where Sid was waiting for me lol. A few moments later Joe came, and at his urging I sms-ed my parents.

My dad never received the sms apparently, also it slipped his mind that I had two numbers, and as expected he freaked out like a crazy monkey when he couldnt contact me after a few hours. He only found out when my bro called him when he and my mom came to visit.

I was warded for two nights (I chose to extend one night because I was too lazy to come the next day to get my bandages peeled). My friends Kevin, Sid, and Joe came to visit, and also some of my aunts and uncles and my grandma.

So anyway, what was the damage as result of my accident?

Well, the major injuries were

- 3 Chipped Teeth (2 of my Upper Small(Lateral) Incisors, and 1 Big(Central) Incisor), and 2 Loose Teeth (Upper Big Incisors)

- Laceration above the upper lip to the left (required stitching, dont know how much)

I also had minor tears somewhere above the chin area and on my right palm.

So 4 weeks after the accident my wounds have healed quite well, scarring my be permanent but heh. My two big incisors are still abit loose so I cant bite. But I can eat solids, so long as i can tear it or cut if up or it comes in bite sized portions. Will have to wait a while more before I can do crowning or whatever.

Till then, I can always freak people out by doing this
