We have crosses in our ice cream, they have “Islam is the light”

Some of you might remember an incident where Wall’s Moo sandwiches ice-cream allegedly had crosses in the cookie design. There are also the numerous times some food items are rumoured to be laced with pork, My personal favourite is when some people declared Kickapoo must be boycotted

Well, as a counter to all this heathen attempts to sway the faith of Muslims, it seems that Muslims have infiltrated the games and doll market in the US and have done a bad job at subliminally transmitting the message “Islam is the light”

” KNIGHTSVILLE, Ind. (WTHI) - Months ago, Rachel Jones was shocked to discover her 4-year-old’s baby doll seemed to have a hidden message: Islam is the light.

Imagine her surprise when a game for her 8-year-old daughter’s Nintendo DS had the same message.

Rachel said she bought the Nintendo game, Baby Pals, as a gift for her 8-year-old daughter after a good report card.

She had no idea the game also contained the hidden message “Islam is the light.”

“We were sitting in the kitchen, and she was playing it,” said Jones. “All of a sudden she looked at me, and I looked at her and she said, ‘Mom, I think my baby said something.’ And so I played it back, and it says ‘Islam is the light.’” “

view-on-politics

It seems that there’s some problem with my twitter updater thingy and it hasn’t posted some early morning ramblings I posted on twitter yesterday morn.

Anyway what I posted on twitter was that,
I’ve decided to take my stance as an indie left-winger further by being interested in politics only when it comes to human andn civil rights issues and also nation development.
And of course religion too, to some extent (my interest in religion is theological and also powered by extreme curiosity, politics is just an annoying pain in the ass when it comes to religion)
Or is whatever I just said the point of politics but I just completely missed it due to all the power struggles, and race politics and money swindling and shit like that? And I’m not talking about just BN, Pakatan Rakyat has it’s fair share of bullshit as well, empowering my belief that people are idiots and sheep and that zealotism and blindly supporting things is present in both the Pakatan and Barisan parties as well as the money and race politics and power struggles. Frankly even at a young naive age it’s getting kind tiresome.

48:29

48:29 is another random so-so piece, but heh. It’s named 48:29 because the text found on the piece is from the Quran Surah 48 Verse 29.

At first I used the verse because of the reference to the seed, but as I read it, I see the irony of how in our zeal we defile the word of God through our actions and prejudices.

Oh and no offence to my non-muslim friends about the unbeliever parts.

Penjajahan Minda & Bumiputra-ism

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Spurred by a fellow bloggers ranting about following political news internationally, I now again wish to harrass insult criticize my fellow Muslim Warganegaras (check your IC, if it states your race or your status as bumiputra than you must be an illegal immigrant, either that or I lost my bumiputra privelages, in which case, HOORAY)

So if you’re a fellow Muslim Warganegara who wish to see what this is all about or you are some other kind of racist bastard from some other race who like to see Muslim Warganegaras get bashed (admit it you dark brown/yellow buggers), or just plain curious, please continue reading

Do note that my constantly wondering and incoherent mind might result in points that actually support whatever I’m criticizing, but then again, there is always pros and cons to everything.

Politics and young people

Friday, July 4th, 2008

There’s a lot of shit going on in the Malaysian political scene now. Some old timers are scared of change, others want things to change, and then there is young people.
Some people are of the opinion that young people especially those who cant event vote yet, like myself, shouldn’t be concerned about politics.

Hell I even grew distant with a very close friend because we couldn’t find any common ground on interest, because I liked politics and theology and as many friends would know, am not very mainstream (I don’t and refuse to have a friendster, myspace or facebook account and dont listen to the radio among other things). This same friend was also confused on why I am interested in politics in the first place.
