Politics and young people

Friday, July 4th, 2008

There’s a lot of shit going on in the Malaysian political scene now. Some old timers are scared of change, others want things to change, and then there is young people.
Some people are of the opinion that young people especially those who cant event vote yet, like myself, shouldn’t be concerned about politics.

Hell I even grew distant with a very close friend because we couldn’t find any common ground on interest, because I liked politics and theology and as many friends would know, am not very mainstream (I don’t and refuse to have a friendster, myspace or facebook account and dont listen to the radio among other things). This same friend was also confused on why I am interested in politics in the first place.

Bodoh betul Melayu zaman sekarang

Recently got this forwarded message on my YM

“Assalamualaikum..pengumuman untuk semuah, sebenarnya, air kickapoo yang kita selalu beli dan minum itu berasal daripada SYARIKA ARAK! nama syarikat itu adalah Monarch Baverage. Untuk bukti lebih lanjut, layari: http://www.monarch-beverage.com/home.htm http://www.kickapoojoy.com/history.html Tolong sebar2kan kepada semua. Tolong berheti membelinya.. “

Translated, it says that Kickapoo is a product made by a company that makes alcoholic beverages and we must boycott it because of that. Geeeee, but on the same site on this page ( http://www.kickapoojoy.com/product.html ) it says that Kickapoo is halal. Oh my, what grave errors our JAKIM (Malaysian Islamic Committee or something) have committed to allow non alcoholic beverages. Whatever shall we do

Nak boikot sangat jangan guna Intel baru, itu produk Israel, jadi campakla komputer/laptop intel baru kau tu luar tingkap sampai hancur.

Mari lancarkan kempen anti-tapai! Tapai adalah amalan sesat orang melayu dulu, ia mempunyai unsur-unsur yang boleh memabukkan, boikot tapai!!

Boycotting the Dutch is stupid

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

Recently a bloody Dutchman decided to release an anti-Islam movie. While I personally wish to see him get into a horrible accident that will not kill him but leave him horribly impaired and make his life a living hell of pain and misery, I don’t hate all the bloody Dutchmen.

So he’s Dutch and he has a thing against Muslims. Muslims whine and bitch about how we’re being stereotyped as terrorist and that our religion is a religion of violence. By condemning all the Dutch aren’t we doing the same? Condemn individuals you fools, not the whole fucking country. What the hell is wrong with you people?

So Indonesia and Iran has religious zealots that are likely to be extremist terrorists. Are Indonesia and Iran terrorist countries? Yeah so the fucking American government says that Iran is a terrorist country. And when they do that you Muslims get all pissy about it. Well screw the Bush administration, my American friends who aren’t crazy rednecks would be insulted if I said all Americans are racist prejudiced bastards.

Muslims preach peace and they say we should not condemn and judge all Muslims or Islam because of the acts of a few crazy idiots who justify their acts of violence through their interpretation of Islam. So why are we judging the entire Dutch country?

And you know what the funny thing is, the Dutch government is opposed to Wilders’s movie.

“Prime minister Jan Peter Balkenende:

‘On behalf of the Dutch government, I would like to respond to the online film by Mr Wilders.

The film shows images of violent acts and holds Islam and the Koran responsible for them. The government condemns such acts and those who commit them.

The film equates Islam with violence. We reject this interpretation. The vast majority of Muslims reject extremism and violence. In fact, the victims are often also Muslims.

We therefore regret that Mr Wilders has released this film. We believe it serves no purpose other than to cause offence. But feeling offended must never be used as an excuse for aggression and threats. The government is heartened by the initial restrained reactions of Dutch Muslim organisations.”

By boycotting the entire Dutch nation we are sending the wrong message and it might make the Dutch even more prejudiced. The proper course of action would be to support the Dutch government in it’s rejection of Wilders’s film. Hell we should support the Dutch government and then push them to punish the bastard. That would be civilised.

God Is A Game Designer

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

Before I begin let me just say that I’m not blaspheming God, or trying to downgrade God to a human profession, and I’m not saying God is a game designer in a literal sense. What I’m trying to do is explain God and Life in a way we as simple humans can understand, and also prove the existence of God or Gods (if you’re a polytheist). I hope.

The initial idea that I had at first, was that God was a Programmer, and Life was an infinite set of variables. But then of course Life is not just code. Life has a visual aspect to it. The only situation I can think of, where code and visuals combine and become something that Life is like, is a game or a simulation. And lets face it, simulations are based on games, so the only conclusion is that Life, is a game.

Now a game does not just exist by itself. It is created. Normally Creationism conflicts with Evolution or Natural Development, but it doesn’t have to. Everything must at the beginning have a Creator. Yes, the world might have come to existence as a result of a gas explosion blablabla. But just like a program, or a game, someone must have written the code for which such things are made of. This basic “code”, in the context of Life and Existence as a game, would be atoms, or molecules and stuff like that. And codes combine to create more complex codes. A visual aspect is then attached to the code so that the code can be “seen” so to speak.

So since there had to be someone to write the basic code structure that started it all, therfore there must have been a Programmer in the beginning. And that Programmer is God. And since monotheist believe that God is the absolute creator, then God must also be the Visual Designer of the “Game”. Of course if you’re a Polytheist, the leader God could have been the producer and the other gods are the programmers and designers, or etc. Basically a team that made the game. lol.

Everything in life I can think of, can be explained in game form.
There are Missions, there are Rewards, and Penalties, there side quests, people drop loot.

Important key figures in history were sort of like important NPCs or GMs, or just 1337 players who excelled in the Game.

Magic? The Supernatural? Maybe they’re Game hacks, or cheat codes, or special abilities the Programmer decided to give some people. Maybe they’re bugs in the Game.

Reincarnation? Maybe reincarnation is the “respawn” or “2nd life” of the game

Life after death? Maybe there’s a gamer’s lounge depending on how fared in the game, and you get to watch the game in spectator mode. Or maybe the After Life is the next and final stage of the game, sandbox mode, where there is no end.

Everything can be explained somehow or other in game form. Think about it.

Oh and while you’re at it, read this article.
