In my busy-ness with stuff and more stuff and possibly some bad internets I have apparently overlooked that I have received a blog award from The Constantly Dramatic One

W00t. Fabulous indeed. Apparently I am so fabulous because, I quote

So apparently I’m supposed to list 5 things I’m addicted to IINM, and then give this award to 5 more bloggers. Despite refusal to do tags this probably doesn’t count as one sort of so I’ll oblige :P

1. The internet (duh)
2. Pepsi Max (I drank 5 600ml bottles this week, and average around 1-2 bottles a week everyweek. This may cause me to have a brain tumour if those aspartame possible side effects are true)
3. Ice cream! (I like Ice Cream, screw you)
4. Terry Pratchett (Terry Pratchett is my favourite author, more so than Tolkien and Rowling combined. His wit, humour and sarcasm are awesome and is a big influence on me)
5. Sleep (I sleep.. alot.. sleep is wundebar)

- Despite updates that are somewhat infrequent, all updates are quality post. While somewhat still a japanese fetish fanboy site, the mix up with other content makes it all a good well thought out read. And hey, even the japanese fanboy stuff is good.

4. Stephy - Scribble out the truth
- Another fanboy fangirl site. Great if you’re into jap or korean cute looking guys (that sounds so gay). Also lots of awesome photos. Too bad most of is private and you can’t look at it unless you’re friended :P

5. Fatin - Infiniti = Definisi
- To my best friend for writing well thought out rants and commentary about life and other stuff and also for that period pain cure post that I use to wow women with my knowledge :P

Happy frickin new year, albeit a belated one. Been abit busy lately with college and BBQs

So 08 is over and now it’s 09, big whoop. Actually it is a big whoop, some important things are expected to happen this year, especially the one Project Hair is related to.

But then again it’s just another year I suppose, probably full of the same old things.

Anyway before we continue about 09, let us review the year that has past.

08 was a better year than 07, but there are still a lot of things that need to happen for a year to be a great year right now.

So what happened in 08 that’s memorable?

Well I fell off a bike and had my first serious accident

Then I left the country for the first time and went to Singapore

And I went tracking and hiking alot, which was a great experience since I love being outdoors despite being a lazy bastard (which means I haven’t gone outdoors all that much before this)

I wish I could say I’ve accomplished a lot but I haven’t. But hey, I’m still young and I have many many years ahead of me (unless I die young or the world ends soon, which would be quite a bugger). Plus I was pretty happy throughout the year thanks to wonderful family and friends (especially my nieces and nephews, thank you, you adorable lil buggers)

Anyway, 09 is young and hopefully I actually start and finish a few projects this year instead of lazing on my arse (I also hope to lose some of the blubber in my arse) and doing a whole load of nothing.

So anyway, happy new year, enjoy the new non-green layout. Also, twitter updates have been moved back to the sidebar. Oh and I removed the shoutbox. Anyway kthxbye

It seems that there’s some problem with my twitter updater thingy and it hasn’t posted some early morning ramblings I posted on twitter yesterday morn.

Anyway what I posted on twitter was that,
I’ve decided to take my stance as an indie left-winger further by being interested in politics only when it comes to human andn civil rights issues and also nation development.
And of course religion too, to some extent (my interest in religion is theological and also powered by extreme curiosity, politics is just an annoying pain in the ass when it comes to religion)
Or is whatever I just said the point of politics but I just completely missed it due to all the power struggles, and race politics and money swindling and shit like that? And I’m not talking about just BN, Pakatan Rakyat has it’s fair share of bullshit as well, empowering my belief that people are idiots and sheep and that zealotism and blindly supporting things is present in both the Pakatan and Barisan parties as well as the money and race politics and power struggles. Frankly even at a young naive age it’s getting kind tiresome.

A new layout! :D

The layout is a bit screwy on IE6 and below though since somehow IE is stretching the top gradient, but nothing too bad, until I find out how to fix that, screw you IE users! The geeky details are at the bottom of the post, but before that, here’s a pic of the fairy girl at the bottom of this page.

And this is an iPod commerciallookingish version, sans wings, (In reality I dislike all iPods except the iPod Touch, oh God I really want a Touch)

And now for the geekery

This entire layout is made of alpha transparent png-24 files, well the image parts anyway. If you don’t know what that is, go google it.
Anyway, alpha transparency is a huge bitch when it comes to designing, not because its hard to do or anything, but because there is no support for it in IE6 and below, and the only way to make it work was by hacking your design code so to speak. While that’s simple enough with a normal site, Wordpress presents another bitch because of how Wordpress accesses templates and all the php and crap. It’s possible to hack, but can be a bit of a pain and a headache to do.

This baby solves the hacking part for you. It’s a simple plugin, you only need to activate it, and then it’ll fix all the alpha transparency issues for IE6 and below, so far it’s working quite well, havent found any issues.

Will be redesigning and reviving my free Glass templates sometime this month hopefully, so watch out :)
